to Serve and Protect

It simply never amazes me how the Leftists always lie about everything. This time Chairman Daley, the leader of the People's Republic of Chicago, is once again going against his agreement not to conduct contract negotiation through the MSM. The Chicago Police and Firefighters have been without a contract for several years. This means that our pay has been locked in and has not adjusted with the rise in everyday prices.

There are different sides to this story and many are saying that we should be happy to have a job. That's nice, but remember people that we work for a guy that up to this point had untold millions to host the 2016 Olympics. Luckily, Obama fumbled that and we were saved that fiasco. Chairman Daley has gone into his old playbook and is using the 'we're out of money routine' that he used last time we had to negotiate our contract. This is his attempt to sway the arbitrator into ruling in his favor just like he did before.

The MSM, once again shows that they are so ineffective in reporting what is really going on in Chicago and how bad conditions are. We have been labeled once again the Homicide Capital of our nation, many of you can recall the video of the child that was murdered by the gangbangers that became a Presidential outrage.
The city has failed to hire enough people for the Police Department and has 2000 less then the stated 13, 500. 2000 less Police Officers What did the city do with this money that they budgeted for these officers?

Chicago Police Officers and Firefighters are on call 24 hours a day. They are required to act in their official capacities when they are off-duty. There are many incidents when officers perform actions such as stop robberies, murders, batteries and aid in traffic accidents. Chairman Daley wants us to take 24 unpaid furlough days now. When do we take these days? Can we all take them off together during the Fourth of July weekend? If crimes are committed in front of us, do we take action for those days that we are furloughed? Explain please?

You really didn't think this out well did you Dick? It really wouldn't matter anyways since none of this would be imposed until next year when our contract gets finalized. Quit going back on your word and stop arbitrating the contract. We are still here working underpaid and undermanned. We continue to bleed and die for this city, so quit showing up at our funerals with your crocodile tears and the MSM.
Police unpaid furloughs
End of Watch

We will continue 'to Serve and Protect', with honor.
