Chicago Police Officer Del Pearson, 47, is out of surgery and "in intensive care at Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn after his surgery Tuesday morning after doctors were able to stop internal bleeding, " SunTimes

Chicago Police Officer Del Pearson is recovering and in good condition. Offender has been apprehended and charged.
